The Cheapest V6 GV70 Is Gone for 2027

The 2027 Genesis GV70 drops the $63,415 3.5T Sport Advanced, which leaves the twin-turbo V6 starting at $70,500 and raises the price of every other trim in the lineup.

The 2027 Genesis GV70 drops the $63,415 3.5T Sport Advanced, which leaves the twin-turbo V6 starting at $70,500 and raises the price of every other trim in the lineup.

The entry point for the brand’s best-selling model rises $1,365 to $49,350, destination climbs $95 to $1,545, and a new Prestige Graphite trim with red brake calipers, Ceres Blue Matte paint and Ultramarine Blue suede tops the range at $71,700. The GV70 is otherwise a carryover, but the mid-range four-cylinder Sport Prestige gains a head-up display, heated steering wheel and the newer driver-assistance systems that used to require a V6.

The changes appear in Genesis’s 2027 model year summary on its US newsroom, which lists six trims against seven for 2026. Compared with the 2026 pricing Genesis announced when the refreshed GV70 launched in March 2025, every surviving trim is more expensive.

The 2.5T Sport Prestige takes the biggest increase, but it also gains the most. For 2027 it adds the head-up display, heated steering wheel, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2 and Highway Driving Assist 2, all of which were limited to 3.5T models before, along with backlit sport trim in place of aluminum. The wireless phone charger that used to start at the Select trim becomes standard on the base car, and the Select and Advanced get a new 19-inch wheel design. Sport trims switch from dark chrome to black window surrounds.

The Prestige Graphite is the GV70’s version of the dark-themed trim Genesis has been rolling out across the lineup. It uses the 375-horsepower 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6, red calipers, a carbon fiber trim pattern of its own, an Ultramarine Blue Nappa leather and suede interior, and the only matte paint left on the GV70, Ceres Blue Matte. Makalu Gray Matte, Capri Blue and Mauna Red are dropped, Bering Blue arrives for Sport trims, and the Vanilla Beige interior loses its orange stitching and seat belts for gray stitching and black belts. Genesis also deletes the rear badging that identified the engine and drivetrain.

The GV70 is the car these prices matter most for. TopSpeed reported on October 24, citing Genesis data, that the GV70 sold about 3,000 units in September and 26,674 through the first nine months of 2026, up 12 percent, which makes it the brand’s volume leader by a wide margin. Its closest rival is the Lexus NX, and the four-cylinder GV70 range now spans $49,350 to $61,550 before destination.

The HyundaiHQ Take

A $1,365 bump on the base car is the kind of annual creep every luxury brand practices, so the real story is the V6. Killing the Sport Advanced means a GV70 with the 3.5-liter engine now starts above $70,000, which pushes the twin-turbo into Porsche Macan money and leaves the four-cylinder to carry nearly all of the volume. The Sport Prestige’s new equipment makes that four-cylinder a better car, but Genesis is quietly turning the V6 GV70 into a halo rather than a mainstream choice, and buyers who wanted the engine without the Prestige price tag have until 2026 stock runs out.
