2027 Kia Telluride Recalled Over Seat Belt Issue
In June 2026, Kia America began recalling select 2027 Kia Telluride Hybrid and 2027 Kia Telluride models over a seat belt issue.

The 2027 Kia Telluride is an all-new second generation with a turbocharged four, the first Telluride hybrid and a more capable X-Pro.
What changed for 2027
- A 2.5-liter turbo four with 274 horsepower and 311 lb-ft replaces the V6 as the standard engine, 49 lb-ft more than before.
- The first Telluride Hybrid makes 329 horsepower and is rated at up to 35 mpg combined. It costs $2,700 more than the matching gas trim and comes in EX, SX, X-Line SX, SX-Prestige and X-Line SX-Prestige trims.
- The X-Pro gets a Ground View Monitor, 9.1 inches of ground clearance, wider all-terrain tires, an electronic limited-slip differential, a locking center differential and an integrated tow hitch. It stays gas-only.
- The wheelbase grows 2.7 inches to 116.9 and overall length 2.3 inches to 199.2.
- Ten standard airbags include a new front-center bag, and the 2027 Telluride earned the IIHS 2026 Top Safety Pick+ for models built after June 2026.
- The Telluride is still built in West Point, Georgia.
